The analysis of specific lexical-grammatical features of various functional styles and sub-styles, as well as the use of translation techniques in accordance with the features of the text of the corresponding functional style have been the subject of detailed study in linguistic research. This article is devoted to the analysis of the linguistic and translational features of a written diplomatic text, in particular, the patterns and specifics of rendering the meaning of the English participle into Russian in the texts of international treaties.
