The author presents the data of social composition changes in the population of Togliatti during the period of car plant construction. The author analyses the changes in composition of the population under the influ-ence of transportability processes.

The article is devoted to processes of reconstruction of the economy during the new economic policy in a small provincial city of Stavropol in the Samara Region and to the analysis of public administration, agricul-ture and population.

The author views the main stages of Togliatti historical studies in history of the Stavropol-Togliatti city.

The author considers the political moods of peasantry at the years of «military communism». The analysis of the relations between soviet authorities and peasantry, reactions of peasantry on occurring events and changes in village has shown that economic policy of the State, methods of soviet authorities, forcible change of the ancient moral rates have brought the war of peasants and the new power in 1919–1922-es.

The author reveals the main challenges for the new government in the development of the network of preschool and school education, as well as explores the problem of liquidation of illiteracy among the adult population in the agricultural region.

The author describes the main aspects of the formation of the cultural space of Stavropol-on-Volga, changes in the provincial town appearance, development of its infrastructure, thereby improving the general cultural level of citizens, the formation of spiritual values.

The author of the article analyses the results of the sociological studies in Togliatti. They showed that opinions of schools graduates about the city are defined by factors of school socialization. Estimation of the city depends on relations of teenagers to history and tradition Togliatti.

The article is devoted to development of «new towns» culture on the example of the Togliatti city during the period from 1990-es to 2010-es. The author reveals the changes in the activities of cultural institutions, such as implementation of the project method of work, attraction of additional sources of funding, including funds of charitable funds.

The article is devoted to history and activity of Kuneevsky labor camp as a component of the Soviet penal system during the post-war period. The author introduces earlier unpublished archival sources into scientific circulation.
