In this paper the author examines the dynamic development of the global economic space conversion in the field of industrial and economic activities of social and economic systems, which must be carried out on the basis of innovation, including the single-industry towns, because in the conditions of innovative economy most urgently found their functioning problems resulting to the emergence of a depressive state of the economy and to the crisis in the social field of company towns. All this causes dysfunctional development of social and industrial structure of city-forming enterprise. There is a reduction of production capacity in the large city-forming companies that cause the budget deficit of the municipality, reducing employment and increasing social tension in single-industry towns.
