The article is devoted to the peculiarities of organizing work in small groups while teaching a foreign language. This kind of work is viewed under the consideration of a learner centered approach. Special attention is given to the necessity of using the method of a role-play in small groups while teaching a foreign language. The article contains original exercises stimulating the level of motivation with the learners and facilitating the quality of education.

The article is devoted to one of the actual problems of using politically correct vocabulary in the sphere of intercultural communication. Some peculiarities of using such vocabulary are analyzed in the article. The considered spheres of the phenomenon are those of racial and ethnic spheres as well as the spheres of physical characteristics of a human being. The conclusions are made about the usage of the analyzed phe-nomenon in the English linguistic culture.

This article analyzes this phenomenon of modern society as a mass culture from the perspective of axiological knowledge. The focus of the work, the author devotes the disclosure of the scope and practical everyday world of the phenomenon. The article presents the author's definition of concepts such as value, and popular culture. In addition, conclusions about the prospects for the development of popular culture at this stage of its existence.
