The article discusses education as a subsystem of culture, its role in countering modern negative trends, humanistic resources inherent in education and their characteristics as a factor in the development of the spirituality of the individual and society. The essence of the development of spirituality of future teachers in a specially created didactic system by means of art and creativity is revealed; its organizational forms, products of developmental activity, focus on reflection, principles of its construction. The conclusion is made about the greatest role of such educational resources as humanism as factors in the development of the spirituality of the personality of future teachers; enrichment of educational content; setting on the development of individuality in the course of saturating the inner world of students with the highest spiritual values; personality-centered technologies using innovative reflexive approaches, art and creativity.
The article discusses the cultural approach as an important process of teaching Russian as a foreign language (RFL). It is a system integrative pedagogical concept that functionally implements its principle, conditions and means at different stages of the educational process. This approach is based on the content of culture as a means of pedagogy.
The author addresses herself to the topic of modern requirements of teaching foreign students intercultural competence within the RFL program. The author argues about choosing of national and cultural specific materials for the students. An opinion is given on including studied and student specific educational resources into RFL program, an idea of creating of bicultural RFL textbooks is suggested.

Special attention is paid to the history of development of the automotive industry and the emergence of purely American phenomena, as well as the impact on the lifestyle, language and worldview of Americans.
