The article examines the phenomenon of aestheticization of everyday life as a means of existential reflection and compensation for spiritual needs in the context of the accelerated pace of modern life. It draws a parallel between the self identification strategies of 21st century individuals and the worldview of the Baroque era: in both cases, people resort to “decorative” cultural forms to shield themselves from deep seated discomfort – be it the awareness of the transience of existence or the feeling of inner emptiness and alienation.
The article analyzes the socio-psychological conditions that contribute to the development of personality subjectivity in the digital space. Based on the theoretical, analytical and comparative analysis of domestic and foreign studies (2019-2024), the key mechanisms of subjective development are identified – reflection, self–determination, self-regulation, self-presentation.
