The author discusses the phenomenon of human beauty as an interdisciplinary matter and gives the definitions of beauty and related terms in philosophy, aesthetics and psychology. The modern view on beauty as a social and psychological phenomenon is also viewed in the article.

Growing attention to modern design trends, pursuit of a decent comfortable conditions at workplace and at home, interest in new finishing materials and technologies must be timely reflected in the preparation of trainees by profession "Master of finishing building work”. In particular, the formation of design concepts at the discipline "Bases of design in decoration", included in the variable part of the primary professional edu-cation programs, as well as the use of research methods of scientific and technical creativity, among which is cost-benefit analysis. All mentioned above is aimed to improve general and professional competence and mobility of graduates.

The article presents a comparative analysis of different methods of design and fashion design from the perspective of the educational process. Here are disclosed the ways of using these methods in accordance with the age characteristics of students in the school of fine arts and design "Rainbow".

The article analyzes the problem of cosmism in studies of Russian scientists and writers. Research of cosmism problems in Russian philology starts from the beginning of the twentieth century. These studies are considered as the primary source of mythological thinking, unconsciously manifested in the creation and development of literature. In this paper basic ideas, visions and scientific conceptions of Russian thinkers from the middle of the last to the middle of the present centuries are considered. The article also briefly touched upon cosmists not only in Russian literature but in the literature of other countries. The exploration made so far shows clearly that one has to deal here with thinkers whose importance is by far greater than was thought of or assumed before. The Russian Cosmism is in fact a specific spiritual, philosophic- scientific orientation, demonstrating encyclopedic and self-relying, synthetic expression of Russian genius.

The educational program of most technical universities pays insufficient attention to the disciplines that contribute to the aesthetic education of students. The formation of aesthetic values is possible in classes on a foreign language simultaneously with the formation of foreign language communicative competence.
