The article examines the confrontation between machine and man in the translation of abbreviations in the context of modern technologies and information exchange. The author examines the peculiarities of the operation of machine translation algorithms and human experience in working with the translation of abbreviations, and also ana-lyzes their effectiveness and quality in this area. The purpose of the study is to identify the most accurate and high-quality approach to translating abbreviations and de-termine which method can provide the best results in this task.
