The article discusses modern methods of teaching computer science in the context of the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI). The relevance of the research is due to the need to adapt educational programs to new technological challenges in order to prepare students for the professions of the future.
The paper describes a methodology for using the educational app «Number Systems» to develop computational thinking in computer science classes (grades 7–11). The experiment confirmed its effectiveness: 96% of students mastered the theory, and 92% developed computational thinking. At the same time, the results are comparable to traditional teaching methods, which makes it possible to choose an approach based on learning conditions and student characteristics.
