The article deals with the problems of teaching physics to foreign military personnel in a multicultural training group.

The article deals with the problem of improving the quality of training of foreign military personnel in Russian military universities, substantiates the need for the formation of communicative competence as an important condition for the training of qualified specialists, describes the system of work on the formation of communicative competence of foreign students in a military university.

The article analyzes the experience of teaching foreign military personnel the scientific style of speech based on a textbook, gives a detailed description of the system of pre-text and post-text exercises. The material for the analysis was the texts and exercises of the textbook created at the Russian language department of the VVA VUNC VVC Branch in Syzran.

In the article substantiates the necessity of using digital teaching aids in military pedagogy, presents the experience of developing an illustrated dictionary for foreign military personnel – cadets of a military higher educational institution of Russia, identifies the features of the structure and content of a visual digital textbook, outlines the prospects for its further use and directions of possible modification.

The article discusses the technique of working with a special text in the classroom on the scientific style of speech. The author lays special emphasis on the importance of observing didactic and methodological principles, when teaching reading to foreign military personnel on the basis of educational and scientific texts. The practical part includes instructions on the sequence of work with special texts of the scientific style as well as the basic formulations of assignments for foreign cadets and listeners.
