The article provides examples of tasks aimed at developing the functional literacy of students in grades 5–7. These tasks are aimed at the development of all types of functional literacy: reading, natural science, mathematics, financial, creative. Attention is drawn to the ability to work with different sources of information. The proposed tasks can be applied both during extracurricular time, as well as at different stages of the lesson.

This article is a scenario of an event aimed at the development of functional literacy of students. The work is intended for students of grades 6-7. The tasks are compiled taking into account the age characteristics of students and in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard. The materials can be used by teachers of mathematics, Russian language, literature, history and other subjects both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities to assess the formation of functional literacy of schoolchildren.
The article presents the content of an extracurricular event for students of grades 5–7 of a secondary school. This methodological development is intended for the development of functional literacy in the context of the topic "Potatoes" in the main areas: reading literacy, mathematical literacy, natural science literacy, global competencies, the development of creative thinking. The form of organization of the event is a 45—minute quest for two teams passing stations with an itinerary. The article contains information about the history of potato use, the peculiarities of its cultivation, its place in the structure of modern man's nutrition, recommendations in the field of healthy nutrition.
