The main methods of active and interactive training used in educational process are provided. The classifi-cation of active training methods allowing to understand a role and the place of each method in educational activities is this. Specifics of use of active methods in different types of studies are determined. The pur-poses of application of active training methods and methods of an efficiency evaluation of their use are described.

The article considers the problem of implementing a holistic approach in the organization of the educational process in the University culture for students in the areas of training Socio-cultural activities; describes issues related to the integrity of the pedagogical process and formation of the whole person of the student subject to the requirements of employers and society.
The article deals with the possibility of using non-traditional technologies and intensive training methods in relation to training in military educational institutions.
The effectiveness of the process of teaching a dialogical form of communication in a foreign language is facilitated by understanding speech as a specific type of human activity, as well as taking into account the factors of its origins. That is why the focus of the author's attention is one of the key concepts of modern methods of teaching foreign languages - the speech situation. The article identifies the components of the structure of a speech situation that are relevant for shaping educational speech situations aimed at developing students' skills and abilities in dialogic speech.
The article discusses the features to use a technical teaching aids in the framework of teaching the disciplines of humanitarian cycle at a military university, provides various classifications of audiovisual teaching aids (AVTS), shows the positive and negative aspects of their use, and gives recommendations on the selection of AVTS.
