Hotel business is the largest complex component of the travel industry. Thus, the entire tourism industry depends on the development of the hotel business. The purpose of the work is to assess the state and prospects of the hotel business development at the regional level. The article presents the results of the study of the main modern trends in the development of the hotel business in the Altai region. The authors discuss the problems of the hotel business development, such as the physical and moral «aging» of the material fund, the lack of qualified personnel, and the growth of competition.
The article examines the features, sources of replenishment and etymological aspects of youth slang in the modern language. Some historical aspects of the emergence of the concept of slang and changes in its meaning are given. The study identifies and describes the main varieties of this phenomenon. Examples of current slang expressions, their meanings and usage contexts are also presented. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of studying slang, which contributes to understanding cultural trends and social changes in Belarusian society.
As one of the directions for improving the quality of professional training of cadets, the authors propose the development of a concept and the creation of an educational space for life safety at a military aviation university in order to form a safety culture for military pilots. The result of one of the research stages is the concretization of current trends in life safety as a field of scientific knowledge, practical activity and academic discipline.

Quality control of oriental sweets plays a key role in preventing adulteration in the market. Due to the increased demand for these products, counterfeits and low-quality products can easily end up on the market, causing harm not only to consumers but also to manufacturers. An important aspect of quality control is also the organization of regular market monitoring. Conducting audits and inspections in stores and points of sale helps to identify counterfeit goods and analyze demand for goods.
