The article reveals the process of information technologies implementation into the practical training of undergraduate students in the direction of «Pedagogical education», studying under the program «Linguistic Education». The content of laboratory classes in the discipline «Information Technologies in professional activity» is observed. The classes are aimed to master students' methods of working with mental maps, infographics, web quests in foreign language lessons.
The article considers the web quest technology as one of the effective forms of game methods of educational activity of the XXI century. The essence of this innovative technology is revealed, its ad-vantages and relevance in the educational process are noted. In addition, the Joyteka educational platform is considered as an effective means of creating a web quest. Possible forms of conducting a lesson or extracurricular activity using web-quest technology are given.
The development of modern education is impossible without the active development of new pedagogical technologies based on the information and communication component. Quest technology is the best suited for developing and improving not only the information and communication skills of students, but also universal learning activities in general. The educational web quest optimally combines several pedagogical technologies at the same time: game technology, project method, critical thinking technology, problem-based learning technology.
The article examines educational web quests as a didactic tool: a definition of quests and web quests is given, and the possibility of their use in the educational process is considered.
