The urgency of the investigated problem is due to the fact that at the present stage of development, companies face financial risks that cause the likelihood of losses from financial transactions. The purpose of the article is to assess the financial position of the Open Company “Tula Printing House”. The article reviews models for assessing and managing financial risks, analyzes the financial condition of the company “Tula Printing House”, identifies areas of existing financial risks. The article materials may be useful for companies of any kind functioning in Russia.

The article shows the importance of foreign trade in the economies of the BRICS countries. The most important conceptual characteristics of the BRICS system functioning are presented. The author makes analysis of the BRICS countries foreign trade relations indicators, and reveals the strategy of maintaining high positions of the BRICS countries on the world scene.

The paper presents a comparative analysis of financial activities of some banks in 2015 in reliance on the Central Bank of the Russian Federation standards H1, H2 and H3, return on assets, return on equity and the dynamics of the key indicators of banks' activities. The authors show that the considered financial institutions have a number of common characteristics; however, they differ in profitability and reliability. In conclusion, the authors try to identify the most reliable bank.

The paper deals with the importance of insurance development in the formation of the financial system of society. The technique of estimation of insurers’ financial stability on the basis of relative performance is presented. The operation of insurance companies operating in Russian economic system: Drilldown "Ingosstrakh", JSC "SOGAZ" CAO "FAC" is studied. The measures designed to improve the financial and economic activities of insurers are offered.
