The author considers the problems of self-identification of the future teachers caused by the modern postindustrial society. The problem of students self-identification and the crisis of the person' identity are considered.

The article is devoted to the problem of the personality and the society interrelation in the conceptions of the Russian sociologists – N. I. Kareev and P. F. Liliyenfeld. The ideological crossings and parallels in concepts of the specified sociologists are revealed. The particular interest is represented by some comparisons with the views of the western sociologists on this sociological problem.

The article is devoted to the main issues of the cultural development in the urban district of Tolyatti – the largest monoprofile city of Russia. The role of traditional culture in modern conditions is shown, factors which complicate participation of traditional cultural institutions in formation of the creative city are considered. The new priority directions of the cultural development on a way to the creative city are created.

The purpose of this report is to research Provincial Text of English Literature. Its central part, which is con-nected with an image of an industrial town, is represented by novels by Ch. Dickens and E. Gaskell, where-as the majority of texts about English province is in the outlying part of the supertext. The author analyzes the central concept town and makes a conclusion about the peculiarities of the perception of a provincial town in English lingua culture.

The author discusses the theoretical and applied aspects of traditional culture within the framework of na-tional scientific and methodological schools.
