The paper deals with the main features of activities of the institutions of culture from the point of view of tourism and recreation development in Tula region in recent years. The methods of complex analysis of statistical information are used. The generalization of the obtained data is carried out, the aspects of interdependence of tourism and culture are identified.

The paper is devoted to the speculations on the place and role of humanitarian subjects in the structure of economic education in Russia today. The authors of the article give consideration to the purpose and the specific character of building a set of common cultural competences of future economists with the help of humanitarian subjects.
