The relevance of the problem under study is determined by the fact that in the light of current trends over the past decades in the training of engineering personnel, the pretentious gaps between the need to meet the modern requirements of employers and society and the need for professional self-realization of engineers, which is determined by their ability to work in difficult conditions with insufficient resources, as well as by creative ideas, the ability to make non-standard and effective decisions, using the means of both native and foreign languages. The aim of the study is to present the didactic aspect of the implementation of creatively-oriented teaching model of oral professional communication to engineering students in practical foreign Language classes. Using the method of theoretical analysis, the blocks of the model of creatively-oriented teaching of oral professional communication to engineering students in practical foreign language classes were determined. Particular attention is paid to the presentation of key information about the most universal and effective methods, creativity techniques and artificial intelligence tools through the prism of teaching oral professional communication to engineering students in practical classes in the discipline “Foreign Language”. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that a model of creatively oriented teaching of oral professional communication to engineering students in practical foreign language classes has been proposed and implemented using technology for developing the creative potential of engineering students by means of artificial intelligence tools in the context of university education. A set of pedagogical conditions is considered that can contribute to the development of the creative potential of engineering students trained with artificial intelligence tools (a focus is on mastering a range of special techniques ranked by level of complexity, techniques for developing critical, radiant, creative thinking for solving professional problems; student’s ability to gain a resourceful condition; ability to transform a problem into tasks; ability to convey information to the querent, etc.). A model of creatively-oriented teaching of oral professional communication to engineering students during practical classes in the discipline “Foreign Language” is presented.

The issue of fostering the need for self-development in the process of developing a person's creative potential is becoming one of the most urgent problems in training a preservice teacher. In this regard, the aim of the article is to analyze the scientific and methodological literature, the experience of teachers and to determine the conditions, technologies, forms, means and methods of fostering the need for personal self–development in the process of systematic, integrated development of the creative potential among students of a pedagogical university. This is especially important in the era of dynamic changes, the current situation of uncertainty, and intensive digitalization. The authors prove the need to develop creative potential in order to foster the need for self-improvement. The article substantiates the complex, system-synergetic, integrative, differentiated, personally oriented approaches to the development of the student's creative potential in the process of educational and extracurricular activities in the context of the implementation of the principles of naturalness and continuity of education. It is shown that creativity is one of the important components of the activity of a teacher who has to solve constantly emerging problem situations and take into account the individual characteristics of students at the same time. It is shown that tolerance is fostered in the process of developing creative potential, and such professionally significant qualities of a modern teacher as mobility, rationality, adaptability, creativity are formed. The results of the survey and interviews conducted with teachers of the pedagogical university allow us to determine the role of self-development in the professional activity of a teacher. The scientific novelty of the publication lies in the fact that: the necessity of fostering the need for self-development of a teacher as the basis of his/her professional skills is substantiated; the concepts of "need", in relation to creativity, and "creative potential of a pedagogical university student" are clarified; the most promising directions for the development of the creative potential of a future teacher are identified; prospects for further scientific research are determined. The theoretical significance of the work lies in the fact that its results make a certain contribution to the methodology of teacher training, it proves the need for creative personal development, identifies the most popular technologies, forms and means of developing creative potential in order to foster the need for self-development of the preservice teacher. The practical significance lies in the fact that the work makes it possible to improve the process of fostering the teacher's need for self-development in the process of developing creative potential.

The relevance of the article is due to the insufficient development of theoretical material and the controversial issue of the project-based activities functionality in the educational process of Russian universities. The aim of the research is to examine the functional potential of the project-based activity. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the authors explore the functional potential of project-based activities that have already successfully demonstrated their effectiveness in practice, in particular at Sevastopol State University. The study attempts to examine the dynamics of the "project-based activity" concept development, the borrowing and further improvement of progressive ideas of Western educators by domestic researchers. The Western model of student-centered education is evaluated. The authors try to describe the advantages of modern project-based activity at the university, one of which is the creation of a unique atmosphere of mutual cooperation and providing students with the opportunity to express themselves in different areas of educational activity. Special attention is paid in the article to a detailed description of different types of projects, based on the criteria of the line of activities, their structure, organization features, as well as the definition of the final products of student projects. The authors come to a logical conclusion about the wide functional potential of research, information, telecommunication, applied and creative student projects, highlighting in detail what skills and abilities students will acquire during their implementation. In this article, the authors substantiate the idea that project-based activity in a modern higher education institution is an important educational pedagogical technology that allows solving didactic goals and objectives of learning, while moving away from traditional schemes. The high efficiency of project-based learning described by the authors is confirmed by the example of ongoing projects at Sevastopol State University. The authors make a comprehensive analysis of project-based activities in the framework of such disciplines as "Technologies of project-based activity", "Methodology of project-based activity", "Design in the professional field". The article presents a mechanism for implementing significant student projects and their value to potential customers. The theoretical significance of the research lies in the expansion of scientific ideas about the functional potential of project-based technologies in the framework of educational process in the higher education system. The results of the article can be used by university teachers in practical activities when implementing independent, individual or group project-based work of students.
