The article describes the results of a study conducted on the stated topic, which helped to reveal the essence of the concept and causes of deviant behavior in adolescents. The most significant factors of deviant behavior formation are highlighted. The influence of character accentuations on the formation of deviant behavior is shown.
The article discusses an approach to implementing preventive work with adolescents who are prone to deviant behavior and have a conflict of self-esteem. It presents the results of diagnosing the tendency of these adolescents to engage in various forms of deviant behavior, as well as the conflict of self-esteem, among 162 students in the 7th and 8th grades from one school in the Krasnodar region. The rationale for using socio-pedagogical training as a means of implementing preventive work is also discussed.
The paper considers certain aspects of the preventive work of special educational institutions with minors who had behavioral abnormalities. The author shows a picture of the modernization of the system of special education and upbringing in the 90s of the twentieth century. The results of the study characterize the place and role of special educational institutions in the system of subjects of prevention of behavioral deviations among the adolescent and youth population, as well as the process of development of their activities in a difficult socio-economic environment caused by the transition of the state to market relations.
