The article presents various points of view regarding the essence of the digital economy. The normative definition of the concept of «digital economy» is analyzed. According to the author, there are inaccurate formulations in it, which, with the further development of legislation on the digital economy, may have a corrupt nature. The conclusion is made about the need for legislative consolidation of the analyzed definition.
