The article presents a methodological development of an educational research project titled "Beneficial Properties of Food Plants," designed to be implemented in a botanical garden setting for 6th-grade students. The relevance of utilizing botanical garden resources within the educational process is substantiated, taking into account the age-related psychological characteristics of younger adolescents. The article describes the project structure and the system of tasks aimed at developing observation skills and environmental thinking, as well as the interdisciplinary connections between biology and geography. The pedagogical potential of project-based activities within a natural environment for the socialization and cognitive development of students is revealed.
