The article deals with issues related to the disclosure of the semantic component of the culture text. Step-by-step comprehension of the text: at the level of meaning and sense, enables the reader to determine the direction in reading. The emotional component helps to reveal the deep layers of content, which helps on the all-round development of the personality.
The article deals with «word of the year»'s functioning as a lingua-cultural concept in the aspect of the factors of emerging of certain concept nominations in different cultures, the functioning dynamics and the degree of correlation in the concept choice are analyzed. The results of the analysis can illustrate the linc between social cultural values typical of a given time period and verbal representation of the concept, reflecting this epistemic meaning.

The article is devoted to the study of cognitive-frame features of epistemic adverbs in English. The most frequent adverbs of the English epistemic modality are considered. The aim of the work is to describe the cognitive meanings of epistemic adverbs and identify their textual implementation in the form of frames. The authors argue that the epistemic adverbs have a cognitive-frame structure in the English language, in terms of content reflecting mental processes based on experience and knowledge.
