This study is a contrastive examination of idiomatic expressions in Russian and Yakut languages. The significance of the study lies in highlighting the common characteristics of the two languages and their areas of difference, thereby contributing to debate on linguistic universal and language awareness. Moreover, it is useful for contrastive linguistics for idioms analysis of Russian and Yakut. The aim of this study is to define equivalents in paremiological fund in both languages. Some comments of non-equivalent words in Yakut language are given.
The article analyzes the aspects of the study of phraseological units-somatizms at the present stage of linguistic science, systematizes the theoretical prerequisites for the multidimensional study of this concept. The relevance of the study determined that in the framework of modern linguistic science has not yet determined the theoretical significance of the phraseology of somocismo, reflecting the peculiarities of national consciousness, and explored their place in the language picture of the world.

The article is devoted to the problem of language changes, namely, changes at the level of vocabulary in the modern Russian language. The most striking processes in the field of vocabulary, such as semantic transformations, the formation of new phraseology, metaphorization of the language and the process of foreign language borrowing, are presented in the article. The description of the processes is accompanied by examples from periodicals.
