The authors examine the understanding of occupational risks by future psychologists in comparison with students of other majors. Particular attention is paid to the specifics of manifestation of uncertainty in the preparation of students of psychology as the factor of occupational risks.
The problem of studying social intelligence as a condition that affects professional choice is caused by social changes and the requirements of the professional standard. The level of development of social intelligence in the success of the activity occupies a special place for future psychologists. This concept is considered from the point of view of different authors, and the leading characteristics of social intelligence are presented. The article analyzes the understanding of social intelligence in the model of J. Guildford's.
The article analyzes the results of an empirical study of the features of social intelligence in psychology students at different stages of study at a university. The author revealed that the social intelligence of psychology students in the first year of study at the university is characterized by the level of development as weak and medium, and in the fourth year – mainly as higher.

The phenomenon of perfectionism is very common in modern society, which sets unrealistically high standards as benchmarks, while basic beliefs influence both behavior and activity of a person, forming the basis of his/her worldview. The aim of the article is to identify the peculiarities of the basic beliefs of students with different levels of perfectionism. The results of the empirical study of the characteristics of the basic beliefs of students with different levels of perfectionism are presented in the article. It is found that students with a high level of perfectionism are characterized by a significant underestimation of their own importance and the ability of controlling what happens, i. e. perfectionism fulfils the protective function of basic beliefs.

The authors of the article put forward a hypothesis that systematic meditation practices of mindfulness contributes to the development of emotional intelligence components of psychology students. There was carried out a theoretical analysis of scientific research on the topic to confirm the hypothesis. Also, there was developed a model for the development of emotional intelligence in psychology students. The article presents the results of a pilot study and outlines its perspectives: the development of a program for enhancing emotional intelligence in psychology students, including meditation practices of mindfulness.
