The article presents some results of a study devoted to the identification of structural features of the macromental formation of man and the peculiarities of their objectification in the Russian language picture of the world. The work was carried out as part of the research of the St. Petersburg-Kemerovo School of Conceptual Analysis.
The article deals with the issues related to manifesting the uniqueness of national worldview in linguistic world pictures. The concept of a linguistic world picture which is a universal code for each representative of a particular linguacultural community is specified.
The article is devoted to the problem of worldview and its importance in the life of man and society. The purpose of the article is to consider the levels and structure of worldview. The characteristics of worldview in German philosophical literature of the late 18th – early 19th centuries, as well as in Russian philosophers of the late 19th – early 20th centuries are shown. It is noted that in the 60-70s of the twentieth century, a personal-oriented direction in understanding the worldview was substantiated. Transformation of the social, political and value structure of society and its influence on the worldview of a person, on the components of the worldview revealed knowledge, values and action programs. The main types of values are identified. The results of this article can be used in teaching general and special courses in philosophy, sociology and psychology.
Intercultural interaction is analyzed as an important part of intersocial communication in the context of globalization/ The author emphasizes the significance of worldviews in shaping the perception of reality in different cultures. Cultural and linguistic worldviews (illustrated by examples from Japan, India, China, European countries, and Africa) demonstrate how traditions, customs, language, and values determine behavior and communicative practices. The importance of intercultural competence as a key meta-competence of the 21st century is highlighted, proving that it is essential for overcoming communication barriers, fostering tolerance, respecting differences, and achieving successful interaction in a multicultural environment.
The article considers the ways of interpreting the image of a cat in the world cultures. Examples are given of traditions and superstitions connected with the image of a cat. English and Russian idioms including the word “cat”, expressing the attitude of people to these animals are analyzed. The results of the survey, conducted among the students of the Russian university concerning the meaning and interpretation of the differences in the worldview of representatives of different cultures, are described.
