This article represents an analysis of the current educational program of some latinamerican higher universities, generalization of cross-cultural experience and regional peculiarities of the integration of latinamerican higher educational establishments, their international programs (on the example of Mexico, Brasil, Chile) with the aim of identification of a successful result of the cross-cultural integration in the Higher Education of the region.
The article is also devoted to the academic interconnection of the student groups of the universities on the regional and international levels as well as international programs, enabling the development and strengthening of cultural relations of different educational units and moulding of professionally-oriented competence of the staffs of the universities in Latin America, a very important part of which is the academic mobility.

This article presents the experience of teaching English to students at Ryazan Technological College. It outlines various approaches to fostering communicative competence in English language classes. The article is devoted to the problem of the formation of professional competencies of students in the study of the discipline «Biology» in the framework of secondary vocational education. The necessity of including professionally oriented practical tasks in order to increase the level of formation of professional competencies of future service sector specialists is substantiated.
The relevance of the research lies in substantiating the role and place of professionally oriented practical tasks in the learning cycle of students in the service sector within the discipline of Biology in order to obtain highly qualified and in-demand personnel in the labor market. As a result of the work on the article, an analysis of modern information sources on the research topic was carried out and practical tasks were described for inclusion in the Biology discipline training cycle in order to develop the professional competencies of future service sector employees. A table has been developed that includes practical tasks, their role and place in the discipline's teaching system. The paper reflects the results of a study on the implementation of a methodology for the formation of professional competence of students studying in the field of Tourism and Hospitality in Biology classes. The positive results of the experiment are described, indicating a significant dynamics in the level of professional competence formation and increased motivation among students both to study the subject and their future profession. The author believes that the proposed set of practical tasks can be successfully used in the process of studying the discipline by students in institutions of secondary vocational education in order to increase their motivation to study the discipline and develop professional competencies.
