The article presents an analysis of the possibilities of applying art therapy to ensure continuity between preschool and primary education. It can be the use of art technologies for conducting classes, art therapeutic programs aimed at solving social and emotional problems of children, the creation of permanent art therapy rooms in kindergarten and primary school. Using the healing potential of art, the proximity to the game, the variety of art-masters offered - all this makes art therapy a universal method in working with children of different ages.

The article describes the basic form of interaction between an elementary school and a family - a parent meeting. This form meets the condition of ensuring the continuity of preschool and primary general education in the aspect of adapting a first-grader to school. The example of this parental meeting will help teachers to build relationships with their parents in this difficult transition period of the development of the child's personality.

The article presents the experience of organizing continuity in the "kindergarten-school" system in the form of a volunteer movement. The directions of the volunteer movement are revealed - the interaction of pupils of primary classes and pupils of a kindergarten; interaction of pupils of a kindergarten and employees of a grammar school; interaction of parents of pupils of a kindergarten and employees of a grammar school. Experience of creation of an individual children's project on the theme "Preservation of historical memory of the younger generation by means of volunteer movement in the system of kindergarten-school" is described.
