In the modern economy, its competitiveness is constantly growing. It also needs constant sustainable development. And for this it is important to improve the efficiency of public administration. This can be done by improving budgeting methods, carrying out administrative reform, moving from "resource planning" to "results planning". Any management must have a specific goal. Its achievement increases the indicators that the concept of strategic management in the customs authorities plays an important role.
The article examines the current problems of the Russian Federation in the field of corruption crimes committed, in particular, in the customs authorities. The influence of coronavirus on the level of corruption has been studied, the causes and methods of committing acts of corruption have been analyzed, as well as the main types of corruption manifestations have been considered and ways to combat them have been proposed.

The key aspects of the procedures for re-export and return of goods are considered, and the main problems faced by participants in foreign economic activity are identified. The authors propose a number of preventive measures to minimize risks and describe ways to resolve customs disputes.
