ART 181082
The importance of the problem under consideration is determined by the need to improve the methodological and didactic organization of professionally oriented language learning process. The purpose of the article is to consider the role of a training manual in the practice of professionally oriented foreign language teaching; the features that make it possible to evaluate the methodological and didactic suitability of a particular training manual. Research methods of abstract analysis, methodological and didactic sampling, modeling, forecasting have been applied. The important criteria have been determined for the training manual structure, as well as its dominant contribution to the development of future specialists’ foreign language skills. The object of the study is educational and methodological materials designed to ensure professionally oriented language learning process for technical universities students. The subject of the study is training manuals that form professional foreign language competence of future economic and technical specialists studying German. The study revealed that both the notion of existence of universal, effective methods of foreign language teaching and the idea of an "ideal" training manual development for solving all methodological and didactic problems should be abandoned. This is true not only for educational materials in German for foreign learners developed in Russia, but for the original ones published in Germany. Even when a training manual is developed in the progressive conditions for subject methodology and didactics, this does not mean it may be efficiently used everywhere. Each training manual should be supplemented, revised, and adapted to the specific educational situations. All materials should correspond to the changing conditions of socio-economic and political life. Each instructor should have information about the actual conditions of educational process among the target group, and have a permanent opportunity to get acquainted with various training manuals and teaching methods. The training manual itself is not a guarantee of a good lesson. Everything depends on the way the educational materials content is implemented in a practical lesson. The results of the research make it possible for a foreign language teacher to expand and bring up to date the methodological and didactic core of the educational process, to improve language skills in practice.
The article is dedicated to key aspects of improving the quality of educational content in the context of the digitalization of education. It examines major issues associated with the creation and use of educational materials, such as non-compliance with educational standards, rapid obsolescence of information, digital inequality, lack of interactivity and personalization, as well as information overload. Proposed solutions include the systematization of content evaluation processes, the introduction of adaptive learning systems, the development of hybrid learning models, the modernization of infrastructure and digital platforms, and the accreditation of educational courses in line with modern requirements. The article emphasizes the necessity of personalizing content, actively utilizing artificial intelligence technologies, and preventing cognitive overload among learners through the optimization of information delivery. Additionally, it highlights the importance of incorporating gamification, adaptive assessment systems, and multimodal methods, which enhance both engagement and learning effectiveness. It is underscored that only a comprehensive approach – one that involves collaboration between developers, educators, experts, and accreditation bodies can ensure the accessibility and high quality of educational content that meets contemporary challenges and the needs of learners.
