The relevance of the problem is determined by the need to increase the reader's interest in younger students. The purpose of this work is to determine the pedagogical conditions that effectively affect the development of fourth-graders ' reading interest in the process of creating a booktrailer for works of extracurricular reading. The article describes the pedagogical experience in developing fourth-graders ideas about the light in project activities using the digital laboratory Releon Kids. The authors consider the concept of «light» and the conditions that affect the development of ideas about light among younger students, give a general description of the children's digital laboratory Releon Kids, especially the use of project activities in primary school. The stages and results of a pedagogical experiment on the use of this digital laboratory as a means of developing fourth-graders' ideas about light are described. An example of using the Releon Kids digital laboratory for measuring the level of illumination in the classroom is given.
