The results of an empirical study are presented. The analysis of works in the field of existential psychology is made. The authors studied the specificity of adolescents’ emotional sphere development and the influence of existential fulfillment on the emotional sphere of adolescents. On a sample of 31 teenagers of grade 8, reliable data were obtained that levels of both situational and personal anxiety in adolescents with a higher level of existential fulfillment are certainly lower than in the group with its lower level. The emotional sphere of adolescents with a higher level of existential fulfillment is characterized by predominance of positive affect and a higher level of emotional intelligence, but only at the level of the trend.

The article analyzes the influence of child-parent relations on the emotional state of older preschoolers. The author focuses attention on the negative impact of unfavorable types of parental attitudes on the occurrence of fears of different content in children. It is concluded that rejection, authoritarian models of influence, infantilization of the child contribute to the development of violations of the emotional sphere, leading to the formation of a large number of stable and strong fears.

The article presents the results of studying the emotions of older preschoolers with mental retardation. The diagnostic procedure included two tasks on the material of children's literature. In addition, the observation method was used. It was found out that children with mental retardation make mistakes in the process of identification, verbalization and reproduction of emotional states. They do not differentiate similar emotions.

The article reports about the results of a work that was devoted to studying the characteristics of emotions development in senior preschoolers with mental retardation. The author presents data on the ability of these children to perceive and understand emotions, as well as verbalize emotional states and reveals some difficulties arising in distinguishing emotions based on expressive characters, transmitted with the help of facial expressions. The disadvantages of using vocabulary to indicate emotions are shown. It is reported about the social immaturity of children in connection with the underdevelopment of the ability to understand the causes of emotional states.
