The article discusses the current condition and dynamics of the sheep-breeding development in Russia. The positive influence of government support on the change in the number and structure of the sheep livestock and their productivity is noted.

The implementation of national projects will bring the economy to a new qualitative level. The implementation of the May Decrees of the President of Russia will give an impetus to the development of the agricultural sector. The country has objectively matured the need for a new system of government support for agricultural companies. This scientific article is aimed at analyzing such complex processes and developing well-timed recommendations for the effective management of innovative agricultural projects. The work summarized the historical experience of the development of government support systems and focused on some of the shortcomings in their practical application. The authors show the commercial benefits from the implementation of the new system in the context of the national agricultural project “Export of Agricultural Goods”.

The relevance of the researched problem is conditioned by the importance of small business for the socio-economic development of the country, which took the greatest shock of the coronavirus pandemic. The purpose of the research is to analyze the theoretical and practical foundations in the field of government regulation and support of business activity in general and small sector in particular. The goals and objectives of government regulation of business activity are systematized, its main directions are determined, the necessity of government support of small business in a pandemic is proved.

The relevance of the problem under study is due to the low efficiency of government support for small business in retail trade in cities, which negatively affects the level and quality of service to the population. The purpose of the study is to analyze and systematize forms of government support for small businesses in the retail sector. The author has worked out a typology of forms of government support for small businesses in retail trade based on a morphological matrix. Disadvantages are identified and recommendations are proposed for improving the forms of government support for small retail business at the municipal level.

The article examines the areas of insurance of agricultural producers and statistical data are considered both in a time context with indicators for the country as a whole and in the context of federal districts. Based on the assessment of insurance volumes during the study period in the Russian regions, regions that use insurance to a greater extent were identified. It should be noted that the conducted research confirms that insurance is one of the main factors contributing to a more effective development of the region.
