The paper deals with the legislative basis for non-profit organizations functioning in the Russian Federation; a possibility of entrepreneurial income-generating activities is consid-ered. The aim of the study is to analyze the level of support for social entrepreneurship in the Sverdlovsk region. The article considers the infrastructure, types and measures of support for social enterprises and citizens planning to work in the field of social entrepreneurship in the Sverdlovsk region. An assessment of the level of support for entrepreneurship at the present stage is given. Recommendations are formulated for improving support measures and developing social entrepreneurship in the region.
