With the introduction of the new Federal State Educational Standard, approaches to school education have radically changed. These approaches have also concerned the students with special developmental needs. However, state-guaranteed inclusive education of this category of students cannot be entirely implemented for several reasons. To improve the effectiveness of teaching children, especially those with intellectual disabilities, long-term and systemic remedial work in the preschool years is needed. Whereas school and kindergarten teachers must be professionally trained to work in an inclusive environment.
