The article discusses issues related to information exchange process in English with language majors. The author emphasises the importance of information exchange, analyses a number of key points and suggests a unified definition of information exchange in a language classroom. Detailed description of information exchange peculiarities is provided; potential risks and challenges are specified. In practice, the use of information technologies in the learning process becomes an indispensable element of various forms of learning, aimed at improving the effectiveness of this process. The article discusses the issues of optimizing the educational interaction between a teacher and students in the university education system using the example of the virtual training Moodle system which is used to support and connect learning on the principle of "teacher-student". Based on a review of "information technology" and "information competence" concepts, the authors make an attempt to determine the specificity of the electronic training platform Moodle, to understand its capabilities and prospects. The authors set the goal - to share the experience of this platform using in the educational process. Based on the results of students and teachers questioning, they present analysis of the Moodle training platform shortcomings and advantages. The possibilities and ways of "Test" resource using are investigated. Recommendations for its use as a means of controlling students' knowledge are given. The issues of a more extensive use of the Moodle system capabilities are discussed not only in the context of teacher and student face-to-face interaction, but also concerning the entire educational institution. It is about the work of the administration, managers, tutors in the virtual system, for example, about entering, sending down, transfers, appointments of scholarships - information that is important for the student and ensuring its timeliness, transparency and accessibility will confirm the mobility of management at all levels. In other words, competent use of all Moodle system capabilities will allow to achieve a rating level for providing a wide range of educational services.

Teaching physics at a military university is characterized by certain professional characteristics. The physics course is the base for further successful learning of profession relevant subjects. Taking into consideration complexity of the subject, especially for the first-year cadets, we must provide systematic diagnosis, development and assessment of the cadets' professional competencies formation in the course of the educational process. The purpose of the article is to describe the author's experience in developing a model for the formation of cadets' professional competencies in a military high school in the process of teaching physics. The article considers the following concepts: "competence", "competency". Leading approaches to the study of this problem in military pedagogy from the point of view of the competence approach are analyzed. The author adheres to the following position based on the analysis of theoretical sources on the topic of the research in this article: professional competency is a set of competences related to the professional activities of a specialist and reflecting the sum of his professional theoretical knowledge, practical skills, personal qualities and attitudes towards himself and other people, to their activities. The author proposes a model for the formation of military cadets’ professional competences. The developed model is based on determining the criteria for their formation, indicators of behavior for each competence, methods, forms and means of developing professional competences and assessing the level of their formation according to the program for learning physics at a military higher school. The theoretical significance of the article is in analyzing leading approaches to the problem of the military cadets’ professional competences forming. The practical importance of the article is in developing a model for forming professional competences in the process of teaching physics, determining the criteria for their formation, determining the indicators of behavior for each competence, determining methods, forms and means for developing professional competences and assessing the level of their formation.

One of the main objectives of improving the process of foreign languages learning in a technical university is to increase the emphasis on the professional training of future specialists who will be able to solve professionally oriented tasks. The relevance of the topic is determined by the possibility of increasing the efficiency of studying foreign languages with the aim of developing professional competence based on the information and communication technologies. The use of ICT in the educational process is considered as a process of organizing computer based educational environment where the main aim of communication is to develop professional competence of students efficiently. The peculiarities of using information and communication technologies in the teaching process of Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TSUCSR) Foreign Languages Chair are considered in the article. The research is based on general scientific and theoretical methods that allow analyzing and summarizing the methodological and pedagogical literature of Russian and foreign authors. The article describes the experience of using information and communication technologies in the teaching process of the Foreign Languages Chair (TSUCSR), on the example of one of the courses developed in the educational environment Moodle. As a result of the study, the experience of using the educational environment Moodle was described, which makes it possible for teachers to attain several objectives: a) to use electronic versions of educational and teaching aids; b) to provide additional material; c) to conduct tests and questionnaires; d) to fulfill tasks for training practice-oriented language skills related to production and research activities. In addition, the authors of the article have identified the main goals and objectives for further adjustment and planning of training courses which develop not only linguistic, but also professional competence of future specialists. The article may be interesting for the scientific and pedagogical staff of educational institutions planning to use information and communication technologies in the educational process.
The article discusses topical issues of the development of information competence of teachers through the system of work using the «web-qest» technology with the aim of further introducing the information system «MEO. Kindergarten». The advantages of using this platform with children of senior preschool age in groups of general developmental and compensatory orientation are revealed by teachers and specialists.
