Paper is devoted to the questions of assessment of socio-economic development of agro-industrial complex in transition to an innovative type of economy

The important mechanism of small and average business development in the conditions of innovative economy is application of cluster approach. In article the essence of cluster approach is opened, the experience of creation of clusters and their influence on business development are studied. The author picks out the priority branches where the cluster approach is effective.
