The author views the questions of evolution of modern pedagogical education, determines the features and prospects of its functioning in modern society, finds out the possible directions of the content planning of future teachers professional training.

Portfolio method is innovative method in the course of training of future teachers to design and technological activity. Application of the portfolio method in the classroom for design and manufacture of modern clothes allows each student to engineer and manufacture clothes, creating his own project portfolio using advanced computer technology. Professional competence in the field of fashion design and professional commitment to design and technological activity are formed when future teachers create project portfolio.

The author deals with the problem of effective general linguistic training of students in humanitarian university. The author gives a definition of the term «general linguistic training system» referring to different types of humanitarian professions; describes the structure of the system; the problems of its development and ways of their solving. The article also suggests basic subjects, study issues and instructional methods to construct an effective system of general linguistic training in a humanitarian university.

The paper actualizes the problem of axiological component of professional training of future teachers-defectologists; offers the overview of the problem. The author's point of view is presented in three time periods reflecting the development of social and scientific interest.
