The article analyzes the results of an empirical study of the features of fearing in children of preschool age. The author revealed that most senior preschoolers are characterized by an average and high level of fear experience, which is expressed in a large number of relevant children's fears (on average, 8-14), experienced often and with high intensity.

The article is devoted to the description of the results of an experimental test of the possibilities of fairy tale therapy in the formation of moral ideas in children of senior preschool age. The author provides a description of the developed program and its testing and concludes that the means of fairy tale therapy provide ample opportunities in the formation and development of the moral sphere in children.
