Productive foreign language teaching at non-linguistic higher-educational institutions is an acute problem for a modern teacher. As a sort of solution, we offer a structural-functional model of motivation forming, which is based on complex realization of personal-activity, individual-differentiation, contextual approaches; methods of psychological influence developing strategy and productive pedagogical communication; individual pedagogical style correction; realization of active teaching methods. This article is the result of long-lasting theoretical and practical research.

The article is devoted to the problem of language-practice learning competence of student of the faculty of foreign languages at the teacher training university. The author gives the definition of language-practice learning competence, describes its structural components, characterizing their functions and contents, and analyzes demands which make basic component of the process of forming this kind of competence.
