The article is devoted to the use of blended learning format in the course of English language methodology for future English language teachers. The actual character of the research topic is explained by digitalization of modern education on the whole, and precisely the pre-service teacher training system, where the Information and Communication Technology competence of teachers has been focused on recently. Moreover, the combination of traditional lectures and seminars with distance learning online enables to use time for students’ self-studies more effectively thanks to considering an individual tempo and strategy of tasks completion, quick feedback and learning more about international pedagogical experience. The aim of the research is to choose and describe results of implementing concrete ways of blended learning format application to the course of English language teaching in the pedagogical university. The research was conducted with future teachers of English who were studying the course of English methodology during the semester at the pedagogical university. Judging by the generalization of advanced pedagogical experience, observation, survey, tests, using statistical methods of results analysis, we singled out the following actual ways of implementing blended learning, such as students’ taking part in some modules of the international English language teaching online course, participation in webinars, creating online tests for schoolchildren and their work in the specially designed university course in Moodle. The theoretical importance of the article is in proving the necessity to combine such ways of students’ self-studies online with traditional lectures and seminars in the classroom using the example of English language teaching course for future teachers. The practical importance of the research is realized in the possibilities to apply the above mentioned ways of blended instruction to other different educational contexts in the system of professional education.
Multimedia is extremely popular nowadays with school children especially. The teachers are in constant search of new forms and methods of teaching to stay up-to-date. The author analyses the educational potential of TED-Ed – You-tube program with a vast variety of authentic videos in English. Some possible ways of classwork are provided.

The relevance of the topic under discussion is to examine the theory and practice of grammar learning optimization, which is essential for mastering spoken English. The purpose of this article is to analyze the essence of integrating the use of communicative-cognitive and gamified approaches for the effective learning of grammar in conversational practice (based on the English language). The article examines in detail the role of grammar in learning spoken English and various theoretical approaches to teaching grammar, such as communicative-cognitive and gamified approaches. The study revealed a number of effective methodological techniques for teaching grammar in conversational practice. These include: interactive exercises; role-playing games, simulations and group discussions that allow participants to apply grammatical structures in their own communicative settings; authentic materials; the use of texts, audio and video recordings of real speech, which demonstrate grammar patterns in context; reflective practice, which involves engaging students in analyzing their natural speech errors and encouraging them to use grammatical structures in a way that is most natural to them; technological tools, that is, the use of interactive applications, speech training software and online platforms that provide an engaging and personalized learning environment. This article makes an additional contribution to the theoretical understanding of grammar teaching in conversational practice. It provides language teachers with practical methods that can enhance grammar teaching and ensure student language acquisition. The study highlights the importance of combining different teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students and create a supportive and motivating learning environment. The results of the study can be used by English teachers, methodologists and curriculum developers to create effective language courses focused on communicative goals.
The article discusses the use of critical thinking technology in teaching English. It describes practical implementations and experiences of applying various tasks aimed at developing students' analytical and evaluative skills. Specific task examples based on real materials such as news articles, literary works, and scientific studies are provided. It is shown how such tasks help students improve not only their linguistic skills but also their abilities in critical thinking, analysis, and argumentation. The conclusion discusses the prospects for further integration and improvement of critical thinking methodologies in the process of teaching English.
This article discusses the possibility of using artificial intelligence to train future specialist teachers of preschool children in a multilingual educational environment in foreign language classes. Integration of technical means into the educational process based on artificial intelligence is possible both for students and teachers. Innovative applications serve as auxiliary tools in the educational environment, contributing not only to increasing the effectiveness of learning, but also to optimizing pedagogical processes. This article is devoted to the practical application of AI in teaching English at the preschool department. The use of AI can facilitate the professional activity of a foreign language teacher, reducing the time for preparing for classes, developing and checking assignments, and also helps to increase the educational and professional motivation of students and develop interest in their future profession.
