The article is dedicated to the problem of modern Mass Media hybrid genre - infotainment. The authors review the tendency of presenting the information in the entertaining manner and analyze the main features on the example of Late Night Show.
The article identifies transformational models for the translation of newspaper and journal texts from Russian into Yakut. Based on the material of the recent issue of “Kyym” newspapers, a linguistic analysis of the language of informative, informational and analytical articles has been done. The author comes to the following conclusions: transformational models of the Yakut press can be considered: 1) words-terms; 2) cliches and templates, traced from Russian journalism; 3) patterned syntax models.
The article is devoted to the study of the communicative and pragmatic relevance of Kazakh-language inclusions in the Russian-language press and news Internet resources of Kazakhstan. The increase in inclusions and realities distinguish the media discourse of Kazakhstan, which gives it a special specificity. An analysis of the causes and conditions for the intentional use of inclusions indicates a conscious process of transition to another language with a certain illocutionary level. Interspersing, including cultural information, a system of symbols, require a certain knowledge of the cultural background, partly the Kazakh language for a full understanding of the texts.
The role of Foreign Language, especially English, on the curriculum for student journalists is getting more and more considerable. Although Foreign Language does not belong to the list of main subjects in the course of Jounralism, learning foreign languages helps students to acquire most of Universal and Professional Competence prescribed by FSES (Federal State Educational Standard). Even non-specialized English student’s books offer diverse tasks which help to acquaint student journalists with the structure of articles in English-language mass media and try their hand at writing mini-articles of their own. In other words, learning foreign languages enables student journalists to develop nearly as high level of Universal and Professional Competence as any of the main subjects of their curriculum.
Public opinion shaped in a proper way is one of the main elements of the harmonious development of the society.
Currently in Russia there are some specific features which characterize modern collective thinking. All of them form the basis for the further studies dedicated to the public opinion and to the creation of PR-technologies.
In the article the principle problem which arises when social institutions are trying to shape and change public opinion will be considered, as well as possible solutions to this problem. The subject of this study is the PR-activities of social institutions.
