In recent years, the policy of our state has been aimed at forming a respectful attitude towards the history of Russia among primary school children, which is why the purpose of our study was to conduct experimental work to identify the features of the formation of a respectful attitude towards the history of Russia among fourth graders. Based on the criteria and indicators identified by us, methods were selected and tested to establish the peculiarities of the formation of a respectful attitude towards Russia among fourth graders. We conducted the ascertaining stage of the experiment, which served as the basis for obtaining data on the effectiveness of further experimental work.

The article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of the formation of military-patriotic consciousness in modern conditions as a new form of societality. A brief analysis of the main elements of the structure of patriotic consciousness, problems, tasks, directions and means of patriotic education is given. The variety of forms of activity of the local history museum of Syzran of patriotic orientation is shown.

The study of the role of phytonymic vocabulary in expressing the national picture of the world has become one of the principal areas of linguistics at the present stage of development. The use of phytonyms in poetry makes it possible to understand the peculiarities of the linguistic picture of the poets' world, the nominations of plants are the means of its representation. Phytonyms in Russian lyrics of the second half of the 20th century reflect traditional ethnocultural traditions based on the positive and negative components of meaning. In the lyrics of the studied period there is a close connection between the linguistic picture of the poets' world and the culture and spiritual world of the Soviet people.
