The formation of personality, the process of socialization occur under the influence of many factors. Family and school are the public institutions, with which for many centuries formed the identity of the child and is the primary socialization. It is teachers and parents have a crucial and dominant influence on the preparation of man for life. For many years teachers and parents interested in a quality education for their children that, in their opinion, is a guarantee of a good future. The presence of a common goal families and schools contributed to the fact that teachers and parents are always looking for ways of joint teaching activities to achieve it. Meanwhile, due to objective and subjective reasons for the connection between home and school was either lost, or has ceased to meet the modern objective realities. It is the integration of new pedagogical phenomenon may allow the family and the school to enter into sig-nificant new partnerships, involving dialogue, consistency, equality, mutual interest of the parties. It is im-portant that when integrative process appears not just a formal summation of the subjects of the interaction or the summation of the influence of these subjects: integration of family and school will allow the parts to connect to an integer is not as elementary amount. This, in turn, will lead to the formation of a new integra-tive pedagogical quality objects that will determine the mutual transformation of synthesized parts, and the person will acquire a new quality, which can only appear as the result of the integration of family and school.

The paper aimed at understanding of professional-personal self-development of educational psychologists. The paper clarifies the essence of the concept “professional self-development, analyzes the structural components and the criteria of professional self-development”. The portfolio method of professional development and summary of the experimental study are described.
