The article is devoted to important factors in maintaining labor productivity - employee motivation and strategies for overcoming stressful situations characteristic of professional activities. In order to study the correlation between professional motivation and coping strategies among engineering and technical employees, a study was conducted among employees of the research institute. As a result, positive relationships were found between result orientation and constructive coping strategies, as well as negative relationships between productive orientation and unconstructive coping strategies.

The relevance of the problem under study is due to the search for new forms, methods and technologies of professional interaction with modern students in the conditions of the educational space of higher school. The analysis of scientific psychological and pedagogical literature and the experience of the authors of the article allow us to conclude that the socio-economic conditions for the functioning of society have a significant impact on the value-motivational choice of a profession by high school students, contribute to the formation of ideas about the chosen profession, about the possibilities of self-development and self-realization in professional activities. The purpose of the article is a comparative analysis of the results of the study of satisfaction with the chosen profession among students of various areas and profiles of training (future teachers and psychologists). The presented work makes it possible to turn to the search, selection and subsequent use of methods and technologies that contribute to the effective development of the chosen profession by modern students. Empirical research methods are the following psychodiagnostic methods: "Professional motivation of the student" (author L.A. Vereshchagina); methodology for studying the factors of the attractiveness of the profession V.A. Yadov (modified by N.V. Kuzmina, A.A. Rean); the author's questionnaire (E.G. Patrikeeva, T.V. Kalinina), selected in accordance with the issues under study. The theoretical significance of the article lies in the analysis of the authors’ scientific concepts of the phenomenon of personal satisfaction with a professional choice; in the study of the causes and factors influencing the subjective qualitative assessment of students' professional choice; in considering the potentials of the university in the formation of a high level of satisfaction with the chosen profession among students. The practical significance of the study is in a comparative analysis of the results of studying the characteristics of students' professional motivation; occupational attractiveness factors; satisfaction of students in different fields of education with practical training, expressed in the affective-emotional and value attitude of the student to his/her professional choice. The authors emphasize that conducting research on student satisfaction with the chosen profession contributes to the effective interaction of structural units and participants in the educational process of the university, contributes to the assessment of the quality of educational activities, allows you to make managerial decisions, and contributes to the improvement of the university.

The relevance and significance of the study are due to the trends in the development of Russian education. Modern higher pedagogical education is focused on the formation of the personality of a future teacher, ready for changes in society through the improvement of creative abilities, the ability to communicate effectively and cooperate with other students, as well as motivation to solve educational problems. At all stages of the learning process, the professional motivation of the future teacher has become of great importance as a special personality trait that allows one to improve and develop professionally. In this regard, the question arises: what are the ways to increase the professional motivation of the future teacher in the process of studying at a pedagogical university? Objectives of the study: to clarify the concept of "professional motivation of the future teacher" in the context of modern pedagogical experience, to identify ways and forms of increasing motivation in the process of teaching at a pedagogical university. The subject of the study is the professional motivation of the future teacher in the process of studying at a pedagogical university. The study used a comprehensive approach, including the analysis of scientific literature, as well as a questionnaire, which allows determining the initial level of formation of professional motivation of future teachers. The authors of the article identified ways to increase the professional motivation of a future teacher in the process of studying at a pedagogical university, studied their role in the professional development of a future teacher, identified the main factors, methods and means that influence the process under study, and analyzed the motivation of a future teacher to work in pedagogical sphere. The authors of the work present the results of a study of the initial level of the formation of professional motivation of future teachers in the process of training at a pedagogical university, which was carried out on the basis of the Mordovian State Pedagogical University named after M. E. Evsevyev. Based on the results obtained, we can conclude that pedagogical activity requires from the future teacher certain qualities and incentives for its implementation and depends on competently set goals and objectives of pedagogical activity. The work has a theoretical significance, as it characterizes the algorithm of actions for the formation of professional motivation of the future teacher in the process of training at a pedagogical university: drawing up a “map of motivators”, forming and developing a pedagogical orientation, stimulating and developing a set of competences, using the practice-oriented approach for the formation of professional motivation of the future teacher. The practical significance of the work lies in the fact that its results can be used to improve the process of forming the professional motivation of a future teacher in the process of studying at a pedagogical university, as well as in teaching practice, etc.
The article discusses the features of the concept of «motivation», the problems of professional motivation, current methods of formation and maintenance of sustainable motivation of teachers of higher military school.

The focus of this article is a discussion of the professional motivation for Psychology majors. The purpose of the article is to show the results of an empirical study of the professional motivation for students majoring in Psychology from the point of view of general professional motivation, its orientation (internal, external) and factors of attractiveness/unattractiveness of the future profession. The sample consisted of 83 students of the Petrozavodsk State University. It was found that high motivation for professional activities prevails among students. Factors of attractiveness and unattractiveness vary depending on the year of training and specialization of psychology students. Students with lower professional motivation in the field of Psychology are characterized by lower internal motivation.
