The article presents the analysis of social development concept dynamics in social science, as well as the analysis and peculiarities of the concept formation and approaches to social development in the domestic science in particular. The basic concept of the research is that social development consists in ensuring the development of a person through the expansion of his social opportunities. The theoretical and methodological basis of our research is based on the idea of going from economic growth absolutization to socially responsible policy, which takes into account triggering the mechanism of Russian society economy socialization. In general, economy socialization is one of the world's trends in the development of society. It has the character of a stable tendency in the modern world, turning into a kind of refrain in the light of socially oriented development. At the same time, we take into account that in the system of key result indicators of social development, triggering the mechanism of economy socialization can determine at the regional level the following effects: people's well-being improvement; improvement of labor conditions and labor protection system; ensuring social guarantees in the sphere of labor and employment; improvement of employment relations index; improvement of regional ecological stability; reduction of regional conflict potential.
