The article is devoted to the analysis of the peculiarities of proper names functioning in the structure of literary text. Special attention is paid to the regional component of the writer's onomasticon.
The article discusses some of the national-cultural components of the temporal word “Monday” in Russian and identifies the reasons for the negative connotations of this day. The linguocultural aspect allows us to consider the noun Monday as a component of the linguistic picture of the world. The characteristics specific to Monday and the associated prescriptions are defined. As an illustrative material attracts the various phraseological units, the statements from the Internet space and newspapers.

This study is a contrastive examination of idiomatic expressions in Russian and Yakut languages. The significance of the study lies in highlighting the common characteristics of the two languages and their areas of difference, thereby contributing to debate on linguistic universal and language awareness. Moreover, it is useful for contrastive linguistics for idioms analysis of Russian and Yakut. The aim of this study is to define equivalents in paremiological fund in both languages. Some comments of non-equivalent words in Yakut language are given.
The article is dedicated to the topical problem of functioning of borrowed words in the modern Russian language. It aims at revealing peculiarities of usage of borrowed emotive interjections by modern people in their speech. By analyzing interjections, that were included into the active vocabulary of Russian native-speakers in the previous decades, the authors try to find out the reasons and the consequences of the process of borrowing of words that express the emotional attitude of a man to the surrounding reality.
