The article presents the results of an empirical study of the relationship between aggression and emotional intelligence in adolescent children with different levels of Machiavellianism. The study sample was 79 respondents. As a result of the study, a relationship was established between aggression and emotional intelligence in adolescent children with different levels of Machiavellianism. It is proved that in adolescents with different levels of Machiavellianism there is a relationship between aggression and emotional intelli-gence, and the nature of this relationship also changes.
The authors of the article put forward a hypothesis that systematic meditation practices of mindfulness contributes to the development of emotional intelligence components of psychology students. There was carried out a theoretical analysis of scientific research on the topic to confirm the hypothesis. Also, there was developed a model for the development of emotional intelligence in psychology students. The article presents the results of a pilot study and outlines its perspectives: the development of a program for enhancing emotional intelligence in psychology students, including meditation practices of mindfulness.
