There is the analysis of the problem connected with the words’ translation with the emotional component. This word group usually causes difficulties during the intercultural communication process.

Depression is a common affective disorder, and disturbances in the emotional sphere in this pathology are obvious. Emotionality acts as a psychological property of a person; recent studies have made it possible to determine the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of this virtue. In order to study the relationship between the characteristics of emotionality and the manifestations of depression at a young age, a study was conducted. In the course of the work, it was revealed that the somatic manifestations of depression are more pronounced with increased emotional excitability and significant negative influence of emotions; the cognitive-affective characteristics of depression can be determined by the general level of emotional excitability of the individual.

The article deals with the theoretical aspects of the emotional valuation vocabulary and presents experimental work on the formation of the emotional valuation vocabulary in children of upper preschool age with a general underdevelopment of speech (II level), consisting of the study of emotional valuation vocabulary in children of upper preschool age with a general underdevelopment of speech (II level), based on which the proposed corrective work with the use of games-dramatization for children of upper preschool age with a general underdevelopment of speech (II level).

Indeed, in modern society there is a need for an independent, free, diversified personality capable of creatively transforming reality. Only individuals with a well-developed imagination and creative thinking will find it easier to adapt and develop in the modern information world. The development of the imagination of the younger generation is the key to the success of this process. We consider diagnostics of the development of the imagination of younger schoolchildren, give practical recommendations for organizing work aimed at increasing the level of development of imagination within the framework of the subject «The World Around» in classroom and extracurricular activities.
