The article deals with the introduction of integrated learning technology in foreign language lessons in specialized secondary education. The article offers a general overview of the European and Russian pedagogical experience in the implementation of this technology, as well as an analysis of the relevant testing and questionnaires on the topic. The author also offers methodological recommendations for the experimental implementation of integrated learning in the system of specialized secondary education.
The article deals with the problems of formation of professional competences of students in specialized secondary education. The results of a survey conducted in Ryazan Construction College named after the Hero of the Soviet Union V. A. Beglov are described. After the analysis, the author comes to the conclusion about the necessity of a wider and more active use of a certain set of pedagogical techniques in English classes.

The author of the article offers step-by-step instructions for learning English idioms: starting with the analysis of interpretation, ending with memorizing and applying expressions in speech. One of the possible classifications of English idioms based on their Russian equivalents is given.
The article touches upon the issue of forming communicative competence while teaching foreign languages. The author describes the opportunities of realizing cross-cultural communication in a foreign language classroom, putting a special emphasis on the significance of using socio-cultural materials of region in forming the cultural identity, patriotism and love for the Motherland.
