Professionally-oriented texts are characterized by such peculiarities as presence of complex grammatical constructions and a great number of specific terms. The comprehension and translation of such constructions and lexical units can make certain difficulties for non-linguistic degree students. The article deals with the main stages of teaching translation of professionally-oriented texts in non-linguistic universities.
This article is devoted to the analysis of the features and effectiveness of applying techniques and strategies for translating O. Henry's story "The Marriage Month of May" from English into Russian and German. Despite the latest research in the field of translation of literary texts, the problem of achieving the equivalence of the elements of artistic structure remains open. The scientific novelty of the research is the fact that for the first time the translation of the original text into two languages has been compared and the possibility of applicability/inapplicability of translation transformations has been considered. The purpose of the work is to analyze translated texts in Russian and German and to identify translation mistakes.
The article discusses the using of online translators in the development of students' translation skills in English. It is noted that translation performs the most important communicative function in a person's life. It is connected with accuracy, adequacy of perception and language mediation between communicants. The rating of the most popular online dictionaries is presented, as well as examples of English-Russian translation through online translators. The advantages and disadvantages of using online translators are revealed.
This article discusses translations from the work of the classic of Russian literature L.N. Tolstoy, included in the collection of Shakarim Kudaiberdiev «Six Collections». The first translation included in the collection is the work of L.N. Tolstoy called «Asarhidon-Laeli». Along with this translation, translations of “Three Questions”, “King Kriz”, “One Hundred Tales of the Rising Sun”, “Collective”, “Order of a Hand Tent”, “Pan-Ji-Zan-Khan” are provided. The creative abilities and achievements of the Kazakh poet in the process of translation are comparable to the original.
The article reveals the stages of development of the translation activity of Russian literature in China; the features of the work of translators are indicated; the role of translation in the development of oral coherent speech of students in the classroom in Russian as a foreign language is determined; on the example of A. S. Pushkin «The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish» shows the system of comparative study of the translation and the original; conclusions are drawn about the importance of the educational work of foreigners in the study of works of Russian literature.
